Gunman robs Burger King worker on Midlothian Turnpike

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A man with a gun robbed the Burger King at 8101 Midlothian Turnpike early Thursday morning.

"The suspect approached an employee as the employee was closing the business," a Chesterfield Police spokesman said about the 12:43 a.m. crime. "The suspect demanded money and displayed a handgun. The suspect took money from the employee that belonged to the store and then fled the area on foot."

Police described the gunman as a thin, black male, about 6 feet tall.

"He was wearing black colored pants, black hooded sweat shirt and a beige handkerchief over his face," police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery.
