3 cars hit by BB gun in Chesterfield; gold Camry may be involved

CHESTERFIELD, Va.– Three people have filed crime reports after their vehicles were shot at with a BB or pellet gun. In two of the incidents a gold Toyota Camry was seen nearby.

The first incident occurred at about 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, June12, as the victim was driving west on Genito Road near the intersection with Charter Colony Parkway. As the victim drove, he heard what sounded like a small firecracker and the middle driver’s side window of his van was broken.

A small round hole consistent with a BB or a pellet was found in the window, according to police. The victim reported that an older model, gold Toyota Camry was passing him when the damage occurred.

The second incident occurred at about 2:51 p.m. the same day as the victim was sitting at the traffic light at the intersection of Genito Road and Hull Street Road. The victim heard a “pop” noise and his driver’s side window shattered. The victim reported seeing a small round hole consistent with a BB or a pellet in the window.

The third incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. that same day as the victim was sitting on Arboretum Parkway waiting to turn onto Arch Road. The victim heard a “pop” sound and soon after saw a BB- or pellet-sized chip in her windshield. As she heard the noise, the victim saw a gold Toyota Camry drive by her vehicle.

No one was injured in these incidents.
