RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in the arm in the city's Church Hill neighborhood Saturday morning.
The incident occurred a little after 8 a.m. in the 2000 block of North 29th Street when a man was dropping off his child. The man was then approached by several subjects and exchanged words with them before one of them pointed a gun at him. The man attempted to run and was shot in the arm.
His injuries are non-life threatening.
Police have interviewed several witnesses and say that arrests should be made shortly. They believe the incident may have stemmed from a dispute with the child's mother who lives in the neighborhood.
