RICHMOND, Va. -- Patient First has announced they are once again accepting care for patients with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance.

This come after Patient First stopped accepting new patients insured by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in February, citing Anthem’s “reduction in the reimbursement rates paid.”

“We reached an agreement with Anthem and, effective immediately, are again accepting new patients insured under all Anthem plans,” Patient First said in a statement.

“These plans include HealthKeepers, KeyCare, Medicare Advantage and others, as well as out-of-state BlueCross BlueShield plans. Also, Patient First welcomes back and is accepting Medicaid patients insured under Anthem HealthKeepers Plus.”

The new deal means new Anthem patients are welcome at all 28 Virginia Patient First centers, with no restrictions.
