TAMPA, Fla. -- Two motorcycle riders were hurt when a driver ran them over just north of Tampa, Florida on Memorial Day, according to police. The Florida State Highway patrol is now investigating a road rage incident.

On video, recorded by a nearby driver, you can hear screams when the car hits the motorcycles -- knocking one couple off the bike.

"I thought the guy was trying to kill us obviously," biker Joe Calerazoo said. "You know you don't know what's going through your mind. Is he going to put the car in reverse? Is he going to turn around? Is he going to stop and pull out a gun? You don't know what's going on."

The man who recorded the video said he saw the driver and the people on the motorcycles get into an argument. He hit the record button when the argument started to escalate.

The nature of the argument was not disclosed.

The driver, identified as 31-year-old Robert Paul Vance, was later arrested and charged with hit-and-run, a moving traffic violation, and aggravated battery.

The couple knocked off their bike was treated at a Florida hospital.

They are expected to be okay.
