HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A man has been arrested and charged after firing a BB gun at a home near Richmond International Airport, striking one person.

Kaleb Omari Hairston,19, has been charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and vandalism.

Police said Thursday afternoon they responded to a call of an unknown person firing shots in front of a residence in the 5200 Block of Coxson Road.

One person was struck as well as several vehicles at the residence.

A thorough vehicle description was provided and alerted officers to the suspect spotted in the County’s South Station. A vehicle stop was conducted and Hairston was taken into custody.

It was subsequently discovered that Hairston fired a BB gun, as opposed to an actual firearm.
