HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Interstate 295 shooting suspect John Maddox was denied bond during a Wednesday court hearing.
Maddox, 24, appeared via video for the hearing.
He was visibly upset when he heard his bond was denied.
Maddox is accused of firing a gun at a passing car on Interstate 295 in eastern Henrico Tuesday morning.
Maddox's car was pulled over along the side of the interstate at the time.
No one was hurt in the shooting.
Maddox was arrested after a hours-long search of the area along I-295 near Route 5.
The Richmond man was charged with two counts of maliciously shooting at a vehicle, attempted malicious wounding, brandishing of a firearm, and three counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Maddox is due back in court May 25.
