Man arrested for breaking into Mechanicsville homes

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — A Richmond man was arrested and charged in connection to four Mechanicsville home break-ins.

Andrew E. Labons, 20, was charged with four counts of breaking and entering, three counts of grand larceny, and one count of petit larceny.

He is accused of breaking into four homes between April 14 and April 24.

“I am exceptionally proud of our investigators. Their dedication to the citizens of Hanover County continues to be exemplary. More importantly, I’m pleased that we are able to give reassurance to the victims and residents who have been affected by these crimes,” Colonel David R. Hines said.

Two of the burglarized homes are located along the 5200 block of Glenharbor Lane in Mechanicsville.

A third home is on the 5200 block of Keitts Corner Road.

The fourth home was on the 7300 block of Cabell Place.

“Investigators continue to work diligently to recover all stolen property,” a Hanover Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.
