Chesterfield man charged with murder of woman found outside Amelia home

AMEILA COUNTY, Va. — A Chesterfield man has been arrested and charged in the murder of a Richmond teen found dead in Amelia County.

Stephon Lamarr Wallace, 30, has been charged with first degree murder in death of 19-year-old Shy’nisa Walker. Wallace was arrested Friday morning by members of U.S. Marshals and Amelia investigators.

Walker’s body was discovered May 4 outside a home along the 17000 block of Patrick Henry Highway. At the time, investigators said they believed her body was dumped outside the home early that morning.

Wallace is being held without bond and is set to be arraigned on May 16 in Amelia County.
