MECHANICSVILLE, Va. -- An all hands on deck meeting at Owens & Minor, a Virginia based healthcare logistics company, started like a normal Tuesday day at the office, until something very special happened.
Anissa Schlarman, a Supplier Relations Analyst with the company, was one of many employees in attendance. Little did she know, her boyfriend was also at the meeting and had a big surprise up his sleeve.
“Is there a Charles in the building? Charles… Are you Charles?” said Chip Tarkenton, Owens & Minor Director of Community Relations.
That’s when Schlarman’s boyfriend Heston Charles stepped in front of the room.
“I’ve been dating a young lady here, the most beautiful lady here in Richmond,” he told the room. “I just wanted to ask, if she would marry me.”
The meeting was filled with clapping, laughter, and excitement as Charles got down on one knee and Schlarman walked to center of the room to join him.
The shocked Schlarman said yes, jumping up and down!
