HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A crash closed Williamsburg Road (Route 60) at Eastlake Drive in Sandston for a few hours Tuesday morning.

More than 300 Dominion Virginia Power customers lost power Tuesday morning as a result of the crash.

The outage is focused in the area of Williamsburg Road, East Nine Mile Road and Interstate 64, according to Dominion’s online power outage map.

VDOT advised drivers to find an alternate route — to avoid the crash site — until the road can fully reopen.

Dominion estimated power would be restored in the area around 11 a.m.

Police said that the cause of the accident was driver inattention and the driver has been charged with reckless driving.
