RICHMOND, Va. — A driver was taken into custody after a brief police pursuit that started in Chesterfield and ended in Richmond.
Chesterfield Police officers attempted to pull over a reckless and speeding driver along the 6600 block of Hull Street Road, near Chippenham Parkway, early Thursday morning, a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said.
The driver would not stop.
When the car traveled over into Richmond, less than a mile away, it crashed into a parked car and wrecked near the intersection of Brookhaven and Kirby Roads.
Richmond Police took the driver into custody.
Charges against the driver are pending.
The pursuit and crash happened at about 3:18 a.m.
