PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va -- Police were called to a convenience store after the clerk said he was robbed by a man wearing an alligator mask.

Police were called to the Prince George Market in the 3800 block of Prince George Drive at around 7:52 Monday night. The clerk said a man with a reptile mask walked into the store and pulled a gun before demanding money. The store manager was contacted for assistance over the phone as to how to open the register, police said.

The clerk handed the cash over, and the man then ran out before getting into a car.

PG store robbery

The man was last seen heading north on Prince George Drive toward Hopewell.

No one was hurt.

The man is described as a black male, five-foot-two, with a blue hoodie and tan or khaki cargo shorts, in addition to the mask.

Police said that the suspect description leads them to believe this robber was involved in a robbery on March 30, just three miles away.
