RICHMOND, Va. -- A memorial tribute was held for Prince outside the Richmond Coliseum Sunday afternoon.

Not only was there music and dancing, but hundreds of purple candles and balloons honored the memory of the late singer. There was also a Prince lookalike contest.

“Not only did prince perform at the Richmond Coliseum,  but he also performed at our Landmark Theater, and we went into our neighborhoods, restaurants and nightclubs to be right there with the people he loved so much,” Charles Willis, former Director of Communities Against Crime, said. “So we wanted to show him our love to his family, and to the world and that here in Richmond we are Prince mania.”

If you missed the tribute, the Byrd Theater in Carytownwill be showing “Purple Rain” on Wednesday at 9:30 and again Saturday at midnight.
