Trio arrested for deadly Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have arrested three men in connection with a fatal shooting in Richmond’s Mosby Court neighborhood in March.

Officers, who were called to the 1900 block of Raven Street on March 24 just before 5:50 p.m., discovered 35-five-year-old Eric Antonio Banks, of the 5100 block of Croft Crossing Drive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Banks was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

Detectives arrested 34-year-old Kendell L. Coward and 36-year-old James M. Williams, both of the 1900 block of Raven Street, Wednesday. The pair were  charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Additionally, 31-year-old Keon L. McDonald, of the 600 block of Westover Woods Circle, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force Thursday. He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
