RICHMOND, Va. -- The chance of rain in Central Virginia will increase throughout the day Friday, from 20 percent at sunrise to 70 percent by sunset.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible as well.

Showers will linger into Saturday morning, especially across eastern and southeastern Virginia.

Saturday afternoon continues to look dry and mild, with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Sunday will be a beautiful Spring day, with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s.

We will see a big warm-up Monday and Tuesday, with highs returning to the mid 80s.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday as a cold front moves through the region.
