MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- Bed bugs are horrible! They spread rapidly and are so difficult to get out of your home. But did you know, our four-legged friends can help?
I recently teamed up with Erik Stegall, from Dodson Pest Control, and their K-9 Bedbug inspection team to perform a follow-up bed bug inspection at a local property in Midlothian.
The property was treated a month ago and visually bedbug free.
However, the dogs may indicate otherwise.
We had two trained K-9 inspectors and hid two vials of bed bugs in the home.
The moment the dogs entered the door, they started sniffing and sat directly in front of the 'placed bed bugs.'
After going through the entire home, we were happy to inform the owner that her home was bedbug free!
It was a fun process and gave me some insight into how versatile man’s (and woman's) best friend can be!
