RICHMOND, Va. – Monday April 18, the seventh annual Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes program kicked off its nomination period through May 16, 2016.

The Hometown Heroes program honors members of the Allen and Allen community who are making a positive impact and giving back to our community on a daily basis.

Hometown Heroes are nominated by their peers in the community. To nominate someone, visit the Allen and Allen website and complete a short nomination form.

“Allen and Allen admires the bravery, dedication, and hard work of the people across Virginia who value the act of giving,” said Trent Kerns, President of Allen and Allen. “Service to others, no matter the size of the gesture or good deed, connects each of us back to a basic human value. We can all find a way to make a difference.”

Allen and Allen said the goal of the program is to celebrate those responsible for encouraging positive change and inspiring acts of selflessness around the state.

“We are proud to honor those who value giving back in some capacity, from active and involved neighbors to dedicated teachers and brave first responders,” said Allen and Allen partner, Courtney Allen Van Winkle.

Finalists will be honored at a series of award events taking place in Richmond, including a Flying Squirrels game, the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Camp and events in Charlottesville and Fredericksburg.

The 2016 Allen and Allen Hometown Heroes will be announced on June 22, 2016 on the Allen and Allen website and on their Facebook page.
