HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — The lockdown at Deep Run High School was lifted Wednesday morning after it was determined the suspicious package that prompted the lockdown was a portable generator outside the school.

In a voicemail to parents, Deep Run Principal Lenny Pritchard said he has been assured the campus is not in danger and that the lockdown was a necessary precaution.

Students were not allowed to leave their classrooms until the lockdown is lifted.

Henrico Police were at the school investigating at this time.

Deep Run High School is located at 4801 Twin Hickory Road in Glen Allen.
