CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Conservation Officers at Pocahontas State Park would like information about a pick-up truck captured on video. The officers believe the owner of the truck has information about or in fact witnessed illegal dumping at the Chesterfield state park.
“On Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at approximately 1:47 p.m. a large amount of debris and trash was dumped at Christian Forest trailhead,” a park spokesman posted online. “This trailhead is located at the intersection of Qualla Road and Newbys Bridge road on the north side of Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County.”
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation said it “utilizes valuable manpower and funding cleaning up remote sites where illegal dumping has occurred.”
Officers described the truck as a late 80’s to mid 90’s model Ford F-150 dark colored with a green fender and door on the driver’s side.
Anyone who recognizes the truck was asked to call 804-796-4255 or 804-489-0700.
