Richmond airport launches nonstop service to Denver Tuesday

RICHMOND, Va -- The first flight of a new route to the west is taking off Tuesday at Richmond International Airport.

United Airlines is launching nonstop service from Richmond International Airport to Denver International Airport. The flight will be the longest out of Richmond, and would go further west on a nonstop route than any other flights currently out of the airport.

The flight departs at 3:40 p.m., according to United's website. On Tuesday morning, the lowest fare was $708. A first-class seat on the plane was $867.

  • Service to DEN from RIC

Flights to Denver out of Richmond will be offered daily. They'll leave each afternoon at 4 p.m., while flights from Denver to Richmond will leave at 3:25 p.m.

Richmond International Airportoriginally annoucned the new route in January.
