PETERSBURG, Va. — A sweet gesture by a local girl gave two Petersburg Police officers a big surprise that left one of them in tears.
Officer Taylor Reedy said he and Officer Kate Williamson were on a meal break when a little girl walked up to them and thanked them for their service to our county.
The three took a picture, which Reedy posted on his Facebook account.
Reedy said the moment made his week and it was the “sweetest thing ever.”
“It’s times like these that make the job worth it! Definitely a picture worthy moment for sure!!!” he said.
Officer Williamson agreed saying the moment brought a tear to her eye. She said she walked over and thank the girl’s parents for the sweet gesture.
