HENRICO, Va. – Police arrested a man who they said was running a counterfeit bill scam in East Henrico, at the White Oaks Shopping Center in the 4500 block of Laburnum.
Police said that male came through her checkout to purchase items.
After the transaction as complete, the male immediately went to customer service and requested a refund.
The victim became suspicious and requested that management check her register.
It was discovered that the male passed counterfeit currency to make the purchase.
The suspect was identified as Martinus Carnell Norman, and he was charged with two counts of passing counterfeit currency and grand larceny.
