WACO, Texas — A mother got an unexpected reaction from a professor after she took her 4-month-old child to class with her.
Former Marine Katy Humphrey’s babysitter had canceled and she needed to get to class at Baylor University so she knew she had only one option … she took the child with her.
It was a bit rough at first because Milly was a bit fussy.
Instead of putting the mother and child out of class, the professor picked her up and held Milly in his arms for the rest of the class.
Milly was silent and happy the rest of the class. The professor, Darryn Willoughby, said he would do it again in a heartbeat.
“Taking care of others in a time of need, and even in not a time of need, just loving and caring about others — that God’s purpose,” he said.
