GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. — A retired public accountant has listed his home off River Road in eastern Goochland County for $2.45 million.

The 7,600-square-foot house at 300 Wickham Glen Drive is the home of William T. Bishop Jr. and Inga W. Bishop, who listed the property March 10 through Sue Farrell of Joyner Fine Properties.

Its asking price puts it in the top 10 highest priced homes currently up for sale in the Richmond market.

Bill Bishop retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as managing partner of its Richmond office. Farrell said the couple is returning to Bishop’s hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, to be closer to family.

The Bishops had a hand in designing house, which was built in 2009 by local custom builder Lancaster Corp. The couple purchased the nearly 1.4-acre property and home from Lancaster that year for $2.31 million, according to county records. It was most recently assessed at $2.2 million.
