FARMVILLE, Va. -- A 5K at Longwood University benefited the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Saturday afternoon.
Dog owners grabbed their pups and leashes for a fun walk around the campus.
The event featured music, raffles and even a prize contest where all the four-legged friends had a chance to win.
CBS 6 News at 5 p.m. anchor Julie Bragg was emcee for the event.
The event helped raise $1700, which will support the dogs and cats at the Southside SPCA.
