GALAX, Va. -- The deaths of a Virginia mother and her 21-month-old daughter have been ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner, according to a report by WGHP. Alyssa "Aly" Kenny, 28, and her daughter Anastasia were found murdered in their Galax, Virginia home on March 10.

Galax Police Chief Rick Clark would not comment on whether weapons were found at the home, nor where the mother and daughter were found.
While no one has been arrested for the murders, investigators told WGHP they do have a person of interest in the case.

The town of Galax is located off Interstate 77, near the Virginia-North Carolina line.
