Maryland double-homicide suspect found dead in Hanover County

HANOVER, Va. — A man who detectives said committed a double homicide in Cheverly, Maryland, committed suicide in Hanover County.

Kevin Tyrice Reynolds, age 30, was found dead in his car around 10 a.m. Tuesday.  He was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. He was found when someone reported a suspicious vehicle sitting on private property, in the  11300 block of Cross Corner Road.

Reynolds, of the 6000 block of Cedar Post Drive in District Heights, Md. was wanted for a double homicide that occurred around 10:30 p.m.

Hanover investigators have been working in conjunction with the Prince George’s County (Maryland) Police Department

When they arrived, the officers found the two victims inside of an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene., according to police.

The victims are 26-year-old Tareeka Jones of Landover Road in Cheverly and 22-year-old Jalisa Walls-Harris of Booth Bay Way in Bowie.

The preliminary investigation reveals Reynolds and Jones had been in a romantic relationship. Jones and Walls-Harris are sisters, according to police.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Reynolds early this morning.
