Hopewell Police looking for car involved in an early morning shooting

HOPEWELL, Va. — Hopewell Police are asking the public for help to find a car believed to be involved in an early morning shooting.

Investigators are looking for a late model black Pontiac Grand AM driven by two women in the 20’s.

According to police around 3:00 am Sunday morning a 52 year old man agreed to follow the pair to the 7-11 in the 2300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard.

He told investigators once he pulled into the store’s parking lot the Pontiac drove away and two men walked up to him, pulled him from his car, shot him twice, then took his belongings.

Paramedics took him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
