Police locate wanted Henrico man and his son

UPDATE: Justin Patrick Newcomb was located early this morning and transported to the Henrico County Jail where he is being held without bond, a Henrico police spokesman said. Jesse Newcomb was also located and has been reunited with his family.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Henrico Police is searching for a man wanted for abduction of his own son, burglary with intent to commit assault, and assault.

Police say 46-year-old Justin Patrick Newcomb is on the loose and his four-year-old son Jesse Davis Newcomb is missing.

Wednesday police responded to the 10400 block of Marbury Terrace for a domestic dispute. Once on scene, officers determined that Justin Patrick Newcomb forced his way into the residence, assaulted a resident, and removed his four year old biological child.

Newcomb left the area in a white, four-door Volkswagen with a Virginia registration of VME-6295.

Newcomb is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has blue eyes and blonde hair.

Jesse, 4, is considered missing. He is a white male, 4 years old, 3 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs 38 pounds. Jesse was wearing a gray and white striped shirt, khaki pants, and black socks.

Henrico County Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Newcomb.  Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Henrico Police at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
