Missing Richmond man, 55, known to take refuge in abandoned buildings

RICHMOND, Va. – Eric L. Bambacus has been missing over a week, police said. The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate Bambacus.

Bambacus, 55, was last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 10, after walking away from the Chamberlayne Assisted Living Facility in the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue.

He is described as white male, 5’-8” tall, weighing about 190 pounds with brown/grey hair and mustache.

He has been known to wander Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield and take refuge in abandoned buildings.

Anyone with information about Eric Bambacus is asked to call Major Crimes Detective William Thompson at 646-3925 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
