Missing juvenile with autism found safe in Ashland

HANOVER, Va. – Samuel W. Moore, 12, has been found safe in Ashland Tuesday evening after a viewer spotted him and calling authorities, according to the Hanover Sheriff’s Office.  Moore has been reunited with his family.

Samuel Moore was last seen in the area of the 14000 block of Broddies Trail, Ashland, at approximately 10:15 AM.

Moore has autism. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and around 130 to 145 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.  He may be wearing a black hooded jacket, dark colored jeans, with  a mesh backpack.

Anyone with information as to if they provided Samuel Moore a ride, saw him walking, or know of his whereabouts, is asked to contact the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at (804) 365-6140 or the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637 (CRIMES), using the keyword “iTip” followed by their tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
