Downtown Richmond shooting leaves man lying on 1st Street

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Police Detectives are investigating a morning shooting in downtown Richmond. When police were called to 1st Street at 11:25 a.m. Friday, officers found a man lying in the road along the 400 block, near Marshall and Clay streets.

“He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening,” a Richmond Police spokesperson said.
