CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- All lanes are open on I-95 southbound near Chippenham Parkway after a crash involving a tractor trailer. Crews had closed the right lane while they cleared the scene. State Police said the crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. A Ford Explorer had been involved in a crash and was on the roadway. A pickup driver then stopped to help.

A tractor trailer driver headed southbound could not see the Explorer on the roadway. The truck slammed into the SUV, pushing it onto the pickup stopped on the side of the road. The tractor trailer then ran off the road and flipped.

Explorer after crash

Neither the Explorer driver nor the driver who stopped to check were hurt. The truck driver was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
