Man with leather jacket, handgun robs person near Richmond Convention Center

RICHMOND, Va — A person was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning while walking blocks away from the Richmond Convention Center.

Richmond Police said the victim was walking in the 100 block of East Marshall Street at around 1:00 Monday morning. A man walked up to him and pulled a gun.

The suspect took the victim’s money and several things before fleeing north on 1st Street. No one was hurt.

Police said the suspect was described as a black male, about 6-feet-tall with a medium build, and was wearing a leather jacket and black jeans.

Anyone who may have seen anything is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
