Driver killed after slamming into power pole in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police identified the driver who was killed when his vehicle ran off Beulah Road, east of Hopkins Road, and struck a tree early Sunday morning.

The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating the single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 3900 block of Beulah Road at about 2:22 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31.

Police said the driver, Kenneth L. Seymour, 45, of no permanent address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His vehicle was traveling west on Beulah Road when it went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

No other passengers were in the vehicle.

Police continue their investigation into this crash.
