Southwesterly winds will transport warmer air into the region over the next few days.  After highs in the 50s Saturday afternoon, highs will get into the 60s for Sunday and Monday.

A cold front will slip southward through the area Monday night with some scattered showers.  With the front south of us on Tuesday, temperatures will be a little cooler.  Highs will range from the low and mid 50s across northern Virginia to some lower 60s in southern Virginia.  Even though this will be cooler than Sunday's and Monday's highs, these temperatures will still be above the normal high of 48°.

It will be warm again on Wednesday with highs well into the 60s as a storm approaches from the west.  After a cold front passes Wednesday evening, seasonably colder air will return for the end of the week.
