LEESBURG, Va. -- An 11-year-old basketball player from Leesburg, Virginia has garnered national attention after his basketball moves and imitation of reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry went viral.
Noah Cutler can copy Curry’s plays and dribbles in just minutes.
It all started when Noah’s dad decided to show off his son's talent on Instagram.
Noah, also known on Instagram as babybirdman3, has become so popular; Curry’s Golden State Warriors invited him to California to meet his role model.
The team shipped Noah and his family to Oakland for last Friday’s Warriors, Pacers game.
Noah didn’t just get the watch.
He was on the court with Curry during pre-game warm-ups, where he got to show off his ball-handling moves with his idol right at his side.
Noah also had the opportunity to perform in front of almost 20,000 people during a third quarter timeout.
"I didn`t even think it was real life. I thought I was dreaming,” he said. “One day I could be there (NBA) if I put in the work.”
Following the game, Steph Curry gave Noah his game-worn and autographed Curry Two sneakers, some USA Basketball gear, and took some pictures with the 11-year-old.
He said Curry told him to keep up the hard work.
"Hearing the crowd cheer was humbling. Last night was a dream come true," he said on Instagram.
Noah said the attention he’s been receiving is great, but playing basketball with his friends makes him happiest.
Although he's considered small for his age, he said he feels like a giant on the court.
