CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Two Florida men and a juvenile were arrested after crashing in Chesterfield following a police pursuit along Interstate 95. After police were alerted to a theft from a vehicle at the I-95 rest stop in Caroline at 9:45 a.m., a Virginia State Trooper spotted the suspect’s vehicle — a 2015 GMC Arcadia — along I-95 south at Chippenham Parkway.
“When the troopers activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop on the GMC, the GMC proceeded away at a high rate of speed,” Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said. “Troopers lost sight of the vehicle and minutes later received a report of a crash in the 5900 block of Omo Road in Chesterfield County. The GMC had struck a parked vehicle and a vehicle in the driveway of a residence; both vehicles were not occupied. The three occupants fled the scene on foot.”
With the help of a Virginia State Police plane and Chesterfield Police, the three suspects were found and arrested.
John Louissant, 18 of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Timothy Johnson 19, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida were charged with 39 counts of unauthorized possession of credit cards. The juvenile male was held for outstanding warrants. Additional charges are pending in Caroline and the incident remained under investigation.
