MIDDLESEX COUNTY, Va. — Dogs and children are not the only ones that enjoy playing in the snow. So do horses, or at least this one horse. Bandit, a 32-year-old spotted saddle horse, spent most of the weekend’s winter snowstorm cooped up in his stable in Hartfield, Virginia. But on Monday, when Bandit’s owner let him out, the horse became the epitome of horseplay.
“I wanted to wait to let them out after the snow stopped and the sun came out just for safety reasons,” Bandit’s owner LaDonna Johnson Pfeffer said. “He loves the snow!”
Retired now due to his poor eyesight, Pfeffer said, Bandit was an excellent trail horse and field trial horse back in his day.
