RICHMOND, Va. — Solid Waste collection has suspended trash collection for Tuesday, January 26 throughout the City of Richmond.
Richmond city streets are still in the process of being plowed and the city’s Solid Waste Management Division will be assisting in removal efforts.
Residents are being asked to not put out their super cans or, if the can is already out to remove it from the curb, as it may impede snow removal.
Residential trash is normally collected once per week, Monday through Thursday from city homes.
Sunday the department of public works said Refuse collection will be performed on a one day delay for the remainder of the week through Friday.
Public works has not announced a new schedule after Tuesday’s suspension of service.
CBS 6 has reached out to the department and is waiting to hear back.
