RICHMOND, Va. — GRTC will resume normal services Monday for snow routes after treacherous roads kept the bus service suspended Sunday.

“During Snow Routes, all bus routes are active, but some bus routes will avoid dangerous streets around the system that are challenging to navigate in inclement Winter Weather. Buses display an alert message on the electronic exterior signs, saying, “SNOW ROUTES IN EFFECT,” to notify customers that buses are on snow routes,” GRTC spokeswoman Carrie Rose Pace said.

Additionally, CARE & CVAN service also resumed Monday, but customers were warned to prepare for delays since some neighborhoods are untreated.

Rose Pace said the bus service’s entire fleet was inspected and refueled Sunday.
