HENRICO COUNTY, Va -- A Moody Middle School student is Henrico County's top speller for a third year in a row.
Seventh grader Tejas Muthusamy was named champion at the district-wide spelling bee Thursday night.
He was able to successfully spell the words "malihini" -- which means "stranger among the people of Hawaii," and "Samaritan" -- which can mean someone kind to people in need of help.
Muthusamy now moves on to the regional spelling bee.
He has made it all the way to the Scripps National Spelling Bee for the last two years.
