STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Eight goats have been stolen from farms in northwest Stafford, the sheriff’s office reported. The first theft was reported Saturday at 9 a.m. at a farm on Equestrian Drive.
“The owner reports that three goats had been stolen from a shelter area to the rear of their home,” Stafford Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Eric Quinn said. “Also stolen were items to include a wheel barrel and a huff trimmer.”
That afternoon, five goats were reported stolen from a home on Green Acre Drive.
“The owner reported the theft of five goats from a barn located to the rear of the residence,” Sgt. Quinn said. “The thefts in both cases are believed to have occurred sometime after 4 p.m. on Friday, January 15, and 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 16.
