RICHMOND, Va --The biggest lottery jackpot in history has officially been won.
Winning tickets were sold in California, Florida, and Tennessee, according to Powerball's website.
Shortly after the Powerball jackpot numbers were drawn, the California lottery announced a winning ticket had been sold in Chino Hills.
There were also million-dollar tickets sold in 23 states, including Virginia.
Wednesday night's winning numbers are 08-27-34-04-19. The Powerball number is 10.
The jackpot had been growing since November 4th, 2015.
The next Powerball jackpot was estimated to be at $40 million.
