HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police identified the man shot and killed Wednesday afternoon on Byron Street as 20-year-old Dejon Jermaine Wagstaff. The Henrico man was taken to VCU Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
“Officers located an involved vehicle on Creighton Road shortly after the incident based upon information provided by witnesses. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the two occupants fled on foot,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said. “The driver, identified as Steven Emanuel Parson, was apprehended. Parson has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”
Detectives said they are looking for another suspect in the shooting. That person has not yet been identified.
