RICHMOND, Va. – A woman had her purse stolen Sunday in the Fan, by a robber who said he had a gun and who rode off on a black Trek bicycle.
Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect, who they believe was behaving suspiciously in a nearby 7-Eleven store just a few minutes earlier.
The crime happened at approximately 5:38 p.m. on Sunday. The man approached a woman in the 1300 block of West Main Street.
He told her he had a gun and demanded her purse. He stole the purse and fled on a black bicycle with “Trek” lettered on it. There were no injuries. No gun was displayed.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9”- 6’0 tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a purple and white-striped hoodie and a ball cap. He has a mustache and beard.
