RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have released the name of the man found shot to death on a Richmond street early Wednesday morning. A passerby saw the body on Highland View Road, in Brookland Park on Richmond's Northside, at about 6:15 Wednesday morning.
When a forensics unit and detectives arrived at the scene, they found 36-year-old Djan R. Robinson of Richmond lying in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene, canvassed the area and are pursuing all available leads in the case," Richmond Police spokeswoman Susan Rowland wrote in an email.
