SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. -- One month after 21-year-old Heather Ciccone was shot and killed, no arrests have been made in her death. Ciccone, a waitress at a Red Robin in Fredericksburg, was found dead early the morning of December 7. She was in the front seat of her car. The car was parked in a driveway on Piney Branch Road, about 30 minutes from Ciccone's Spotsylvania home. The home has no connection to the case, investigators said.

Captain Jeff Pearce, with the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office, said detectives were still investigating  Ciccone's death and there was no new information to release.

Ciccone's sister said she believed Heather was killed by another woman. She said the former Chancellor High School student had recently been getting death threats.

"Heather has had a girl who has been stalking her and threatening to kill her," Courtney Ciccone said shortly after her sister's death.

Law enforcement would not comment on a possible motive.

Several days after her death, detectives released images of her car hoping someone saw the vehicle and could provide clues into her murder.

"The Criminal Investigations Division would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle on Sunday December 06, 2015 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.,” the Sheriff’s Office posted online. “If you have ANY information please contact Crime Solvers!!”

Anyone with information was asked to call Spotsylvania Crime Stoppers at 540-582-5822.
