Police identify city’s second homicide victim, ask for tips

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Police identified the second homicide victim of the year as a 36-year-old Richmond man.

The homicide occurred early Sunday, at approximately 2:18 a.m., in the 3800 block of Midlothian Turnpike.

Officers arrived and found Quincey C. Broadnax, of the 1000 block of Kingswood Street, in a rear yard of an apartment complex suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where on Sunday he succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
